CoolGamesYo ("we", "us", "our") operates the website coolgamesyo.com and the games hosted on it. This policy explains what data is involved when you use our site.

What We Collect

We keep data collection to an absolute minimum. Here is exactly what happens:

• Local storage (browser only): Ghosty's Bad Day saves your personal best time in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us or anyone else.
• Multiplayer connections: Golfy Golf uses a WebSocket server for real-time multiplayer. When you play online, your chosen display name, ball color, character selection, and shot/position data are transmitted to other players in your room. No data is stored on the server after you disconnect — rooms exist only in memory.
• Google Fonts: We load the Inter font from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). When pages load, your browser makes requests to Google's servers, which may log your IP address. Google's privacy policy applies to that data: policies.google.com/privacy.
• Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics (gtag.js) to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site, browser type, and general location (country/city level). This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
• Hosting provider logs: Our hosting providers (GitHub Pages, Render.com) may automatically log standard web request data such as IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. We do not access or use these logs. Their respective privacy policies apply.

Advertising

This site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing activity.

• Multiplayer is entirely optional — no data is transmitted unless you choose to join an online room.

Data Retention

Local storage data persists until you clear it. Multiplayer room data is deleted from memory as soon as all players leave. We retain no data on our own servers.

Changes to This Policy

If we add new features that affect privacy (such as analytics or ads), we will update this policy and change the effective date. We encourage you to check back periodically.
